As much as it would thrill us, it’s not in most missionary budgets to have a professional design team create every single communication piece they’ll ever use. At some point, there will probably be a need for a DIY newsletter mailing, social media campaign, or other fundraising piece. With this in mind, we’ve added a new option to build a few of our products in Canva or Adobe Express, two popular web-based graphic design tools. We want to equip you to maintain the professional, consistent look and feel in your communication. We’ve created this add-on for our Brand Board, Letterhead Template, and Social Media Campaigns. What does this look like, and how could it help you? I’m glad you asked.
Let’s start with a quick intro to Canva and Adobe Express. These are two popular tools that enable users to design things from business cards and wedding invitations to presentation slides and Instagram stories. Both offer free and paid plans, and offer premium access to qualified nonprofits for free. You can check out their various plans here (Canva) and here (Adobe Express). With their huge libraries of templates and stock images, they can be really helpful tools for missionaries who have some time on their hands and an eye for design. Here’s how our Canva/Adobe Express add-ons can help you make the most of the designs we make for you.
Brand Board
Both Canva and Adobe Express have built-in brand kits. This makes it quicker and easier to design pieces that match your ministry branding. When you order the brand board add-on, we’ll still design everything for you and offer three rounds of revisions, but we’ll base your branding on items that are either accessible through Canva or Adobe Express or available online for free. Once the design is nailed down, it will be quick and simple to transfer your brand colors, fonts, logos, and graphics over to your brand kit or copy and paste directly from your brand board.
Letterhead Template
If you send out frequent newsletters or mailings, this add-on will serve you well! We will design your header and footer like normal, but in addition to sending you a Word and Pages document with the image of your letterhead in the background, we’ll also set up your letterhead as a template in your chosen program. All you’ll need to add is your text and photos and you’ll be ready to go! We’ll design the Letterhead Template in such a way you’ll be able to update the header image easily.
Social Media Campaign
Do you use social media to connect with potential partners? Having some templates will make your life easier while also keeping the look of your posts consistent. With our add-on for Adobe Express or Canva, we’ll set the templates up for you, giving you not only a campaign you can use right away, but a resource that will save you time throughout your itineration.
